Simply Smashing!

Everyone and their dog knows about Brawl. Chris Slate of Nintendo Power Magazine states, "I'm ecstatic to report that Brawl isn't just amazing, and it isn't just one of the best titles on Wii, but it's one of the very best games that Nintendo has ever produced." I'm sure, as a Nintendo fan yourself, you are also quite excited about this epic game. I myself, am heading out to my local GameStop to participate at the midnight launch / tourney this Saturday night. You have no idea how excited I am for this release... this is THE game, and I'm sure any Nintendo fan will tell you just the same. With that being said, some new Brawl-related goodies shall be popping up soon under the Project:NintendoBoy page! While the team and I work out some behind-the-scenes details, it will be awhile before anything new comes up. Ah well, I'll have time to work the "NintendoBoy" side of things. That's good right? This is why you're probably here. :] Anyway, the new thing is this: Adventure Plots. Yes, I'm sure you are familiar with this, and perhaps you saw a glimpse of inside Mario's house, but this time it's a whole new ball game. Basically, a comic will be released starring Nintendo Boy in a crazy storyline / plot drawn by a good friend of mine, Laura Chaparro. You can thank her for that amazing character design of NB holding a Wii. :] So, like I said, a comic will be released for your reading enjoyment. Then, a few days will pass by to give everyone chance to read it, and an interactive puzzle / game will surface online to correspond with the plot. EXAMPLE: A comic comes up about NB rushing home after he picks up Brawl, but at the end of the comic, NB looses the game - then, a game will surface HERE on the site where you could help NB find the game - it could be located on a page as a small image, who knows. // Do you get it? I hope you do, and sounds exciting for you because it does to me! Everyone will be able to play and have their own account here. I am working on a points-prize system. But anyway, that's the gist, and whenever I take a break from Brawl over the weekend, I will get this up and running hopefully by next Wednesday. :] So, what do you say, audience of nintendoboy.com?? Post your thoughts below, thanks guys!

Next time you'll hear from me, I'll be playing Brawl, and hope you to see you on Wi-Fi soon. :]

Eight Days a Week

Wow.. what a week. I'm just glad it's the weekend. I'm just glad we are finally shooting Razorswitch tomorrow. I'm just glad it's not butter. Blah blah blah! Well, I have contacted everyone who is necessary for this film shoot, and uh, wow, it looks like we are actually doing this... we are actually going through here! Well, that's that. I may or may not post the script up after the video goes live (which should happen sometime by next week if all goes well), just for fun to see how we built around our basic plot. I'll have to get permission from the creator, though. But yeah, that's that. Wish us luck! Or not... hmm, maybe we won't need it. Haha, but er, yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. The crew is great and we're all close friends so it should be blast to film and a blast for you to watch! Well, it's the weekend, and I'll be busy with other things here and there, so let me leave you some neat things for these 2 blogless days... that's right "blogless".. I can make up words if I want, it's my blog! Haha. Well first off, some interesting Nintendo news that came out today straight from GDC 2008:

"Nintendo seems to be joining in with the rest of the console movement when it comes to online play. At GDC, Nintendo announced that they will soon offer the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Pay And Play service. This will be implemented on some games, which will tack on a service charge for playing online. The specific pricing details were not announced, but Wii points will be used in order to pay for the service. This will happen with some online games on both Wii and DS. Games that feature the Pay and Play service will be given a special red marking alongside the traditional WFC logo."On top of that, it was confirmed that Nintendo will finally allow downloadable content for Wii games. This applies to disc-based games, WiiWare titles, and so on. The new content will be available for purchase through the games that feature DLC. Perhaps this will finally allow us to download songs for GHIII, and hopefully it will be in place by the time Rock Band is released on our platform."

Hmm, seems interesting. Hopefully with this odd decision, they will improve the way we connect. *cougharrghfriendcodesargh*cough* But yea, I look forward to something like this if it's worth it. Well, that's your taste for Nintendo today. Haha, still waiting for BRAWL! Ahh, countdown in the community page... have you been there recently? The forums are on fire, so join in on the discussions!

So, yes, with me being busy for pumping out new content for the site, I won't be around much here, so I shall leave you this video to entertain you... enjoy the music here in this video, thanks to a DS Phat (yay original Nintendo-ness!) and some iPhones! Very cool video.

So, with that being said... er, watched... um, listened... ...have a great weekend! =] BRAWL IN 2 WEEKS!

Once In a Blue Moon

Have you heard? Tonight is a lunar eclipse! Well, not with the moon from Majora's Mask pictured to the right, and not a blue moon. Ah, I'm sure you know what I mean. I live in the EST zone, so it's coming up soon (and by soon, I mean, 9ish P.M. EST soon!) It should be spectacular and something not to be missed, as the next full lunar eclipse will grace the skies in 2010.Are you confused? All your answers including what it is and when it is at this website, so go there now! It should be neat.

... Er, so that post was so random. I don't even know how to lead into what I was going to say. Hmm, well, as far as last weekend went, well... it rained pretty hard for the first time in a while here in the GA area, so I postponed the Razorswitch filming. I am aiming for this weekend... my goal is to have out the first video episode to you BEFORE Brawl launches, which is March 9th for you non-Nintendo-goers. Also, a friend and I are also working on launching the Project:NintendoBoy page too, but that will be after Razorswitch. Ahhh, so much to do, so little time!

Oh, and I dunno if you've checked this out, but... I finally cleaned up the game room. It's incredibly efficient now as the page is smaller and the games should launch in their own window, so make sure you allow pop-ups from my site. Don't worry, you know I care about your safety, especially here, so, no worries. But yeah, seriously check out the Game Room. If you were unaware about a Game Room here... er, check out the community page. There's a giant link there. =] And yes, now that I've fixed up that messy page, I will add more games soon. You see, I actually host the .swf files on my site, so heh, if my site can be accessed from a computer that blocks a lot of fun stuff (i.e. school servers), you should have no problem playing games from such a place. Of course, after you've finished your work. Haha, I don't want to get in trouble with teachers I don't know, on top of the ones I have at my school! xD

Oh yeah, and thanks for the 9 comments that were posted in the previous post. Heh, all the people that posted in the 9 comments (after 9 don't count), are really cool people, and if they have sites, I'd recommend you check 'em out. ^.^ Well, that's it for now. Have a good night, and enjoy the moon and it's lunar-ness. Hehehaha!

Outbid

I'm sure you are familiar with eBay. I, for one, like it a lot, and have bought some neat rarities from there such as some old N64 cartridges. But anyway, the reason I mention this is because it has suddenly taken control over me! So, I didn't know when this happened, but Nintendo discontinued the Crimson/Black DS Lite color. Yeah, what the heck? Why? To make way for the new Cobalt/Black color that released last week? Pfft. Spiffeh, but Nintendo really knows how to get people to buy the same system over and over again!

You all know I have the original DS Phat (as seen in Episode #1.3) and had really no intention of upgrading, but when that beautiful combination of red black graced a shiny DS Lite late last year, I had to get it; this color combination also happens to be my favorite, much like my iPod video - U2 color style!

So, time passed, and when I heard rumors about Nintendo cutting off production for this color, I made a trip. I visited my local Gamestop to find out from the counter guy that they aren't receiving anymore shipments of that DS color. Bummer. That being said, it brings me back to my first sentence. With this, the prices for the auctions of Red/Black DS have sky rocketed. I have been unable to find one on the 'net such as BestBuy.com, so it looks like my best bet would be just finding the last stock at a store, because as you can see, I am not very succuessful via eBay. o.o;

So, that's my juncture right now as far as Nintendo goes... I am looking for one. It's keeping me a bit pre-occupied and a little twitchy. But that won't collapse my plans for this weekend! This Monday is President's Day here in the states, and I will be free of schoolwork! I shall take advantage of this by going ahead with the blueprints for Razorswitch, episode 1. It should be good. The script is almost done, and, gosh, you guys are gonna love it. It's hilarious. Or, at least the script is... so I hope we can produce the same effect on video. Are you hyped up!? I am. Heheh. See you Tuesday for another update! Have a spectacular weekend. :]

St. who?

Okay, I'll admit, it's a lame title, but eh, I couldn't think of something more creative... (... you don't get the title, do you?) It'll come to ya later. =]

So yes, it is that time of year again! Some people love it, some hate it... either way, it's basically the only reason why you still see that Hallmark store in the mall. Ah well. Haha. I personally like it, though I've yet to have a relationship that occurred near Valentine's. Heh, it's still a fun day. I mean, what could be more fun that spending loads of money on chocolate, teddy bears, and v-day cards? Oh. Well. Um... right. Anyway, I hope your day was a good one, and also hope you had a good Single Awareness Day (if that applies to you...heh)! And, I hope you enjoyed my cheesy version of a valentine layout for NintendoBoy.com. The next time you see it will be in 2009. That of course is if my stuff is successful and my site will live to see the day. Heh... Ew, kinda nervous now. So, as far as the site stuff goes, my crew and I are still pitching ideas and scripting the first episode which I hope to release before Brawl comes out (Mar. 9th). Also, I am working on a new NintendoBoy project. You shall see some upcoming updates on the respective page - it will be an interactive "adventure plot" game... hmm, that doesn't sound familiar, does it?

So... just outta curiosity, would you want a free email @nintendoboy.com? I'm testing a new program for something... secret. It would be basically be anything you want at internetdinosaur.com and would forward to your current email address. I have approx. 10 emails available for testing, so if you're interested, leave a comment.

Have a great day, and see you tomorrow! =]

We are now writing

If you haven't heard yet, the Writer's Guild of America Strike (in the States) that lasted from early November last year ended last night. I am happy to hear that the the writers are finally getting the attention they deserve. We can now have back our beloved shows such as House, The Office, and 24! On a completely unrelated note, the scripts for Razorswitch have begun. This weekend, I will gather with my crew to begin production for the introductory episode. This is something to look out for; it's going to be a great comedy. Where else will you be able to get fold-out tables, Pop-tarts, and monkey problems all in one series?

On a more... cooler note... with the progress & production of the new project, you should be ecstatic to know that I shall post a daily blog update on the site EVERYDAY! *Actually, it will be everynight. But anyway, that's right, every day ending in a "y"! This posts will mainly be progress stuff, but who knows, you may stumble upon on something incredibly neat.

Also, by popular demand, a flash version of Super Smash Bros. is now added in the game room! And yes, I do realize that that page is a mess, and I shall get to cleaning that up eventually. :]

Cheers for now!

Suddenly Everything Has Changed

... that's a song by 'The Postal Service'. BUT that's beside the point. The point is.. welcome back to an old site with new tricks! Or, is that a dog? Hmm.

I'm sure by now you've seen some big changes to the site. First off, I've spiced up the site colors this week for Valentine's Day! I thought that would be neat, and hope you enjoy this layout change for this week only.

Next, is the organization. That empty-looking welcome page that you now see when you visit "nintendoboy.com"... is pure HTML. If you don't understand computer lingo, that means I've built it from scratch. =] Yes, it took a while, and yes, I am happy the way it turned out which brings me to my next point...

Razorswitch. First off, I've built the welcome page because I wanted to branch out to my other projects. That's right, NintendoBoy is not alone as I add a new project to the mix... Razorswitch. It's a story about a gaming company that's trying to compete with other companies. Originally written by a friend, he and I will bring the scripts to life in video-format. It's good to be? good.... and big. So good, that I even acquired the domain name for it!

Don't think I've forgotten about NintendoBoy... heck, if it wasn't for those videos, you wouldn't be on this site! I have stopped making NB videos (for now) to focus on Razorswitch, but rest assured, something new is coming from NintendoBoy!

Isn't all of this exciting?!

Since all of the changes are happening, I decided to clean up / fix some older pages, so you may want to take a look at what's new!

Well, I think that's a good enough update to keep ya going for the week.

Stay tuned! :]

Futuram

No, not that Futurama, as much as we all love that show. More like the future of the site. Well, the trilogy is done. Yeah, #1.3 kinda sneaked on the site at the beginning of 2008, mainly because... well, I dunno really. The important thing is you either knew already and have seen it, or NOW you know. Haha. Go watch it at YouTube (if you like bad quality). So, with Timebomb done and all... you may think, what's next? Is there more to come? Well yeah, my domain name doesn't expire till September 2008! Heh, okay, that's not totally the reason. Actually, heck, I like doing what I do. Funny how that works out. Well here's the plan:

I've experimented with The Nintendo Boy Project... yes, #1.1-1.3 have all been tests (I hoped you like 'em). The real deal will consist of films that will connect in no way. Basically random episodes. It should be good, seeing as I spent some of my Christmas money on a better camera, so the quality will improve. I have great ideas in store for these new line of videos, the first one launching by the end of January. I don't want to give too much away, but the video is about the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii, so stay tuned for a great video, coming to a website near you!

So, that's as far as the films go, which will take up most of my free time, as I want to make these as best I can. That being said, I'm relieving the stress on myself with making the website less-feature-like. I decided to throw out the Nintendo Reviews section, but I guess it's better, because after awhile putting all those reviews will take a lot space on the site (which is something I don't have). The one thing I will try to do better at, is games. Many people complain that I don't have games... I do, but not many. Actually just two. Keep a look out on the Nintastic!! page as I will re-do the games page as I add more and keep the page organized with fast-loading times. I think that will be the only thing I work on as far as the site goes... the games. Also, the Nintendo news thing, I've linked a great source for some news, so check that out on the Nintastic!! page as well.

Many things are coming up, such as me cleaning up the website more, and spending time on the new films (which will be good, I hope)!  So, to you guys at home, I thank you, for always coming back, to NintendoBoy.com! ^^
