Nintendo Radar - Pokemon Snap returns!

Note: Hello there! You have stumbled on another hidden blog post.

Enjoy the archive as the radar checks for another news post...!

Coming to a Wii VC Channel near you, December 10th (North America)

Article by Jeffrey Vega (Nintendo Boy)

Ah yes, Pokemon Snap! Don't you all remember it? Such a fun game, and I still have it for my perfectly working N64! Therefore I am conflicted whether to get this again. However you may think, well if I have it, then I shouldn't spend 1,000 Wii Points ($10 USD) to get it again. There is some new stuff worth mentioning...

Here's some good info: "Nintendo will be enhancing the original game by allowing users to take snapshots and save them to allow for posting online via your message board. Other players will be able to check out your Pokemon hunting skills and admire your photography." -GoNintendo

Holy macaroni! That is awesome! Do you remember the good ol' days where you could take your save pack to Blockbuster and have your photos printed on these neat little sticker sheets? Does anyone else remember that? Haha.

Well, this looks like a neat buy. Makes me wish I hadn't got Snap for N64 as I had bought it at Blockbuster (used) for $10 while the N64 began to slowly fade away.

There was just something to this game that was so addicting...

Well Pokefans, I want to hear your thoughts on this!

Thanks for reading.

Nintendo Radar - Black Friday

Note: Hello there! Hmm, you found a secret unannounced blog post. Ah yes, well I'm simply archiving one my old radars, so the formatting might be messy!  Enjoy!

BLACK FRIDAY

NOVEMBER 23RD

What's up this week? Why, Black Friday of course! Not sure what that is? Read this quick excerpt from wikipedia...

Black Friday is the day after  Thanksgiving and is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season in the United States . Since Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, Black Friday may be as early as the 23rd and as late as the 29th day of November. Retailers often decorate for the Christmas season weeks beforehand. Many retailers open very early (typically 5 A.M.) and offer doorbuster deals and loss leaders to draw people to their stores. Although Black Friday, as the first shopping day after Thanksgiving, has served as the unofficial beginning of the Christmas season at least since the start of the modern Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, the term "Black Friday" has been traced back only to the 1970s. "Black Friday" was originally so named because of the heavy traffic on that day, although most contemporary uses of the term refer instead to it as the beginning of the period in which retailers are in the black (i.e., turning a profit).

So, yeah, I'm sure you know about this, but may not of known there was a name of it. Or maybe you have. Oh well.

I particularly enjoy this shopping event for waking up at 5 A.M. to fight the crowds and see what deals can be taken. So, I've gathered a few things of interest (Nintendo stuff, obviously) that have caught my eye and it may interest you as well.

Wow, these are some nice limited edition DSs at Best Buy! If I had money I might upgrade my DS Phat to that shiny gold Zelda DS! Friday & Saturday only!

Hmm, this seems like a good deal. This was a snapshot taken at a KB Toys store, and but 1 get 1 free doesn't seem like a bad deal.

However, where the heck is the nearest KB Toys?

This comes with:

  • Wii

  • Two Wiimotes

  • Two nunchucks

  • Super Paper Mario

  • Mario Party 8

  • Brunswick Pro Bowling

From 5 to 7 AM you'll only be able to purchase one per customer, but after that you can grab as many as you want. This is an online deal at samsclub.com, but not price was announced.

*GASP*! $35 for SUPER MARIO GALAXY at Circuit City? Wow, makes me wish I hadn't pre-ordered/bought it already. Oh well, I'd probably wouldn't be able to wait that long anyway. Ha, but this is a steal.

Brawl delayed until Feb. 10th

Word is coming from Nintendo's press conference that Brawl has seen an official delay until February 10th. That's a Sunday, a very strange day for a game release in the United States...

I can't believe it... yet another delay. :( I mean, this game was suppose to be a launch title for Wii! This better be the best game ever in the history of video games.

At least we still have Galaxy to look forward to December 3rd!

10.10.07 - Nintendo caused jaws to drop all over the world!

Sonic has been officially confirmed for Brawl! Can you say "sweetness"? You can view more info on Sonic in Brawl along with 2 videos at the smashbros website (link below). However in other not-so-good news relating to Brawl, the release date for the game changed from "December 3rd, 2007" to TBD, which more than likely means this highly-anticipated game will be delayed yet again. I hear it is confirmed as delayed in Japan until early January 2008. I hope it'll be released by the holiday season so I can get it cheap! C'mon Brawl people, this game is the reason why I have a Wii! Link, Snake, and Sonic will be my most favorite characters! Woohoo!

In other news, the Wii got a fresh of breath air again as you can now update to the Wii Menu 3.1, which will be able to host new updated versions of the "Everybody Votes" & Internet Channel. Also, Nintendo is working on a new upgrade that will let you download free DS games demos to your DS from the Wii! That sounds awesome!

Anyway stay tuned for more info, and thanks for stopping by Nintendo Boy!

Finally, some Nintendoness!

That's right; I have finally got a "Nintendo Updates" blog started. After all, it is NINTENDOboy.com! So yeah, I've been meaning to do this at the very beginning, but I've been kinda putting it off. Oh well, too bad. So anyway, not much news with the big N to report today, however if you are currently a Wii Owner, have I got some news to share!

Nintendo is now packaging "Wii Remote Jackets" with Wii Consoles that will be shipped after October 15th.

Now at first, I thought, well that's a cool little case for your remote, but I bought my Wii earlier this year and was a bit disappointed not to be able to get one. However I quickly read on and saw that we early buyers have been considered also; even veteran Wii owners can order up to four these bad boys for free at Nintendo's support site. Nintendo will begin shipping these free remote jackets to you starting on October 15th, so if you are a Wii Owner, go ahead and place an order! After all, it?s free!
