Where's Cloud Nine?

Well, there it is. I have nothing for you. Nothing really. Of course the main feature of this site is my videos that are somewhat good, but even that's becoming harder to pull off. I always have these great ideas in my head, but it's hard to get 'em on camera, and well, even harder to get my pals together to actually get something done. But when we do make a video, we're on cloud nine. But other than that, there's really nothing much, besides The Rendezvous, which still, sadly, has not had much attention due to problems that I've encountered in creating this one-of-a-kind game. Don't fret though, everyone who signed in into WebsID to access The Rendezvous will still be able to once it comes back online. More on that later.

So, like I said, or what I've been trying to say... I'm completely on empty. I can't really think of anything new to add to the site that would want you guys to keep coming back. I need ideas. What makes you keep coming back to this site... granted you aren't a newcomer, or a friend of mine? I want something really neat to be on the site, but I just can't think of anything. I have forums, but no one really posts. I have some games, which are good, but it is hard to find anymore good ones. And of course this blog, which hopefully keeps you entertained with my thoughts... I mean, that's it. What do you guys want to see here?

nRant: Wii Motion Plus at the Resort

Hey guys, sorry for lack of updates this past week, but I was at band camp! Perhaps more on that later... anyway, here's a juicy new nRant to take up some of your time you really shouldn't be wasting... after all school is coming up for many of us soon! So, the last nRant was about the upcoming E3. Now that that has come and gone, I'm sure you've heard by now that it didn't live up to people's expectations. Maybe even the worst E3... not sure why really, but I kinda touched the subject on the last post... I wondered what they could pull out from their sleeves, and the answer was, sadly, not much. Of course there were new games announced and etc, and blah blah, but really, not much of 'breaking news' really hit. However, we did get new information from the big N, and the biggest news is a new accessory for the Wii remote which will be used with a new installment of Wii Sports.

That's right, you heard correctly. The sequel to the famous Wii Sports game that EVERY Wii Owner has (haha) is Wii Sports Resort. The game takes place at something of a beach resort, where your Mii will engage in more exciting activities. It was announced that there will be 10 games (as opposed to Wii Sports' 4) which include activities such as frisbee with a Mii dog (?), jet ski, and even some fencing, which is like sword play. Well, now you're thinking, oh that sounds kinda cool. It gets better. WSR will be the first game to utilize something called Wii Motion Plus. This accessory, which is attached to the bottom of your Wii remote, will allow 1:1 control! Yes, that's right, 1:1 control. For those of you who don't know what this is, basically, whatever you do with the remote will be copied exactly on the game in real time. So, imagine this while playing Zelda, and you swing the Wii remote (as the sword) in an awkward way, well, the way Link will swing the sword will be the exact way. Pretty awesome, no? This allows for more precise motion control, hence the name, Motion Plus.

I believe this to be a new step for the Wii, and it's a nice new addition. This accessory will debut sometime in Spring 2009, and will actually be bundled with Wii Sports Resort for $50. So, there's some bang for your buck. And as you can see in the picture to the right, the WMP accessory will also come with an extended version of the Wii Remote Jacket to work with WMP. Of course, the next line of games will most likely be using WMP to where they see fit, so shelling out the $50 for WSR and WMP doesn't sounds like such a bad deal. I mean, wouldn't you want to obtain the sequel to Wii Sports, the BEST-SELLING GAME THAT EVERY WII OWNER HAS?! Haha. Well, if you don't like my jokes, you may still enjoy WSR. I'll be honest and say that I played Wii Sports for maybe a week after I got my Wii, and then... eh. I mean, if I have Zelda, Mario Party, etc., why bother still playing Wii Sports? Of course I may be biased seeing as I'm somewhat of a hard-core gamer and don't fancy playing Mii Bowling too much, but the game is really perfect for anyone, and especially those who have really never even touched a gaming console.

So, what do you think? Are you gonna pick up this newest peripheral from Nintendo

At $50, it may be a bit pricy for just another simple game to use your Miis, but it may be little time just before every game is using the 1:1 motion feature of this new device, and you will be soon succumbed to join in on the latest craze.

Bumps In the Road

Hello all... yet another blog post. I have taken The Rendezvous offline for the moment. There have been some "unforeseen" problems that affect said Rendezvous. I apologize if you are angered by this, but sadly you are in the minority. -sigh- I have to re-do some things in the game for it to be smoother and easier, and you not having to wait so long to do something, and also so it's less work for me. So... expect some rather big changes when the game re-opens. I apologize again... and for those who signed up for the Deku Tree Quests... well, that may not exist anymore, but you will still be signed up for a new event, so hang tight. And before you think I'm crazy, I have given some thought into these changes, so don't think I change things for fun.

Ok, so, on a lighter note, the game room has been flourished with another new game, the classic Donkey Kong. Also, I changed the thumbnail images to give it a consistent size, and plus, it looks prettier. And don't worry to those of you have embedded them on you own sites, the codes are still intact and should be working flawlessly. You hear that Rysspace? Your awesome new arcade game is fine! Thanks for playing our games!  No, he is not an affiliate (yet...?), but he is a good friend and has linked me before. This post is for you Ryan! Haha, so speaking of other sites, we have had a bunch of more affiliates added to our list. Those sites are Nintendo Guy (no relation... haha), Jickaar (cool name), and iMovieFilmer (this site is owned and operated by our own Andrew Shain, the filmer of our videos).. So go check those out and say hi to those guys... they don't bite; but no promises with Andrew.

And er, I think that's it for updates.. for now. I will work on bringing the Rendezvous back online, and uhm... yeah. In the mean time, just head over to the game room! As you can see, new games are finally being added on a regular basis! :]

Feeling Blue

Hey all, I'm back and had an awesome week in Florida, as you can see with my always-confused look in the picture... thanks for asking. Haha, just kidding... I had a blast at Universal Orlando with all the awesome rides and attractions including the new Simpsons Ride and the Blue Man Group performance! Anyway I hope you guys had a great week, and I'm happy to be bringing the site back up to speed. I have some new things for you after a long week without updates. Don't feel so blue. ;)I'd like to welcome the last installment of Laura's amazing comics to the site. If you've been here with us for a while, I'm sure you know her work from the early adventure plots, and of course with the comic versions of the Nintendo Boy Trio videos. Well, today, she has poured her blood, sweat, and tears (though I'm unsure if it was in that order... haha) into the last of the comic videos: Episode #1.3 - Timebomb COMIC. Be sure to check that out as this is a very special addition to the site. If you are new, be sure to catch up with 1.1 and 1.2 by visiting our photo gallery, which can be also accessed via the lounge under 'Apps'. I am honored to have Laura draw these wonderful pieces of art exclusively for the site, and I really enjoy it. Oh, and one more thing. Whether you are new to the photo gallery or not, be sure to visit there again as the ability to add comments to the comic, including rating each and every panel, has now been added. So, share your thoughts with us! And of course, feel free to always drop a line at us, and let Laura know how much you love her comics. I am quite blue now that the comic series has ended. :/ So, go to the comics now!

As far as other additions go, the new game that was exclusive to newsletter members has now been publicly added to the game room. Yes, you heard right, there is finally a new, AWESOME game in the games section at the lounge, named Super Mario Sunshine 64. So be sure to give it a spin, leave your rating, and even embed it into your own website.

Also, as I'm sure you remember from my first nRant that E3 took place this week. Now, I haven't been able to look into much of it, let alone cover it since I was away, so I recommend you stop by VideoGame Command, a very good friend of mine from the old, dark days of our own websites. After a long delay, he has been finally added to our list of partners, so be sure to say hi to him!

And, of course, the Rendezvous. It's right around the corner. Have you signed up yet?!

Leftovers

And, some more quick updates. I am leaving for Orlando tomorrow until Thursday, so obviously I will not be updating the site until then. But, I just want to blog at you guys a bit more. :)First off, I'd like to formally announce the new affiliate program here on the site. We already have a taker, and he's my pal over at Revealed. He has a pretty neat website for those of you who bore of the flashy bright colors on my site! And for you Nintendo fan boys, the site has their share of game reviews to check out, so be sure to stop by the lounge for the list of partners and perhaps register your site!

Also, if you haven't seen it already my nRant posts are now popping up (well at the moment there's just one), so be sure to look out for that and check out the archives, which the link for that page will be posted at the end of every rant here on out.

And, The Rendezvous. It's so close to being done, I wish I could show you, but I still have things to perfect, so you can bet I'm excited about this. I wanna say it will come out this Saturday, but you'd probably wouldn't believe me, so... yeah, just keep you eyes peeled as the release will be posted in the blog.

So, I haven't much else to say, except to have a great week! And, thanks again, for reading my blog posts. It means a lot. And just to show thanks and leave you with something for this week... a brand new game, which is a Super Mario 64 crossover of Mario Sunshine. It's a huge game file, and it should keep you occupied for a while... or at least until you give up! And, this game will be exclusively for blog-readers until the end of the week, so you won't find it in the game room yet! And REMEMBER, it's a new game, so it will take some time to load!!

And so... here it is: Super Mario Sunshine 64 - Enjoy!

nRant: What to expect at E3 2008?

Here it is. The first nRant post. The post where I rant about the latest ongoings of Nintendo!Sooo... E3. I am quite excited about this, and it's sneaking up on us July 15th. Don't know what E3 is? Well, then I'd say you are not a gamer. Check out the wikipedia entry of E3 and also the official website to get more details if you're clueless. Go ahead and check, I'll still be here. ... Ok, ready?

So, by now you know that E3 is an event where the giants of gaming, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony (and along with many other companies), duke it out and show off upcoming releases for the year following the Expo. Now, this is exciting, because this is where the big news happens, news that shocks everyone. E3 was the place that the big N announced their next-gen console, the "Nintendo Revolution" a couple years back, which of course we all know and love as "Wii".

Now, for this year, I wonder, what else could Nintendo pull out from their sleeves? Brawl came out in early March of this year, and Mario Kart was quick to follow. Those were two huge AAA titles, and have a history and huge fan base behind both of them. With this blast of awesome games within the span of 2 months, you wonder what else can come from them? Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see. One big AAA Nintendo title that is buzzing round is Animal Crossing for Wii. The first of the series made it's way onto the Gamecube, then a sequel to the DS, which is by far one of the most popular games to date with use of the Wi-Fi DS Internet play. We all know and love this series, and I am sure looking forward to a Wii version of this beloved "real life" game. I mean, who doesn't want to live with a bunch of animals on a far-off island? It's awesome, and while a Wii version is not confirmed, it pretty much is assumed, as noted with the ACWii link above.

As far as other things go... I just want to be shocked with excitement. I want Nintendo to release some kind of hard drive support for the Wii, because I will soon run out of space with all the blasted Virtual Console games I'm downloading! And, maybe a new Zelda? Hey, I can dream, right? I'll be sure to have a page open to the E3 site to hear breaking news, because, of course, I am one of millions who didn't get invited to the event. Haha, surprising, no? ;)

A Blog Post for Mario Kart Madness

It's here. Yeah, I know we said it will release in mid-May, but I'm sure by now you know not to believe what we say... or at least as far as timelines go. Eh, what are you gonna do? So, anyway, yes, a new video is here. Finally. We did stick by the odd prequel we posted back 2 months ago on our youtube channel and continued on with a Mario-Kart themed video. I must say, the video was quite random in the long run. I felt it was a little rushed, but that was mainly because I was suppose to get braces... TODAY, and well, we already had half the video done a few months ago, and the ending was finished a couple days ago, and I didn't want me to randomly have braces at the end of the video... haha. ;) But anyway, I just came back from the dentist this morning to find out that the dentist was out of town and whatnot... but ugh, it's a long story that will most likely bore you, but long story short, we coulda worked on the video more had I known my braces would be postponed until August 6th. Ah well. So, let me know what you think. Head over to the project page to see the video and other info! Thanks guys! And also, the rendezvous will be releasing very very soon... so, for those of you who signed up and are pending access, thanks for your patience, the adventure is almost here!

Games Galore

Hey everyone, welcome back for another update! The game room is now finally compatible with all browsers, but if you are using a Mac and something other than Safari... well, I have no idea. :D Speaking of browsers, have you updated to Firefox 3 yet?? It's great, and the site looks great as well! Anyway, the game room has gone through many changes over the past months, and none of the ways I've set it up have really worked. So, now, the game room has it's own, bigger section at the lounge. Eventually, when the games begin to grow, it will moved into a new page, but for now, it will be there. When you go there, you will see that you can click the screen shot of the game, and you will be taken to a new page where the game is located, rather than a pop-up window. In this new page, you may also embed these games onto your own website, so that's a new nifty feature, and I hope some take advantage of that!As far as other news, the rendezvous is continuously being worked on, and will have a release near the end of the week... *fingers crossed*. Also, the staff and I are getting together tomorrow to begin filming a new video, so that's something new as well... keep an eye out for this new video soon, coming to a website near you... *finally*! And also, thanks to all who wished my a happy birthday in the blog, guestbook, etc... I had a great day, and thanks for giving me a shout out! :)

Blogs on the 4th

And here we go with another update! Things are beginning to change (for the better), but before I being my mumbling, I'd like to wish a happy 4th to those who celebrate it!Ok, so here we go with some updates. FIRST, The Rendezvous is reaching the final stages of production. Right now, you can go to the explore page and register for an account. Until further notice, you're access will be pending approval, and will be granted access once the rendezvous is open. I already have a few that signed up, and yes, I know you can't get in yet, and that's because I have yet to grant you access, and will do so when the rendezvous is open for the public.

Also, I've put a lot of thought into this next thing, so here goes: nRant. nRant is "Nintendo Rant", a new staple coming to the site, which will give me space to discuss the latest news and products from Nintendo. I know some of my pals who also run Nintendo sites ask where the "news" is... so, well, it's now here, as nRant! Yay! This, in turn, will also liven up the blog with more of my thoughts, and keep the blog a bustling place, because frankly, I really love this blog and feel it's a connection between me and my readers. So, look out for new nRant posts coming shortly to a blog near you!

Speaking of blogs, actually, since you just read a couple of lines ago that I really love the blog, I'm beginning to put more effort into it to be easier, and more fun to read. I love writing these things (even if not many read them... heh), but heck, I'm going to have fun with these blog posts. Consider this the first of new and improved blog posts. I just want throw a more personal touch to my blog. Also, as far as the blog post page, I've decided to limit the number of posts per page to 7, instead of 10. That way, the page loads faster, and also, since I used to not make posts that often, you won't see something outdated by just scrolling down a bit.

And, I believe, that's it for now. As I write this, I wait for the fireworks tonight, and then pump my fists in anticipation for the 6th. My own holiday. Do you not love that new festive banner up on the site??

Sweet Dreams

Sleep. It's a great thing. But when I can't get any, I think. Or, listen to my iPod with the Sleep Timer set for 90 minutes, but that's not the point, or at least the latter. These summer days, I have a lot more free time, so believe me, I work on the site a lot more because I love doing it. And when I can't sleep, I think of ideas, and believe it or not, I actually get the best ideas while I stare at my ceiling... then I twitch that I can't go and write it down because I'm sleepy, so ah well, I usually remember it anyway. Haha. And what a relief that Andrew & Laura are always online so I can chat with them as they keep me sane when I throw new pages and ideas at that to see what they think before I publish it.Anyway, some great things have come from that, such as the new home page. I think it's pretty awesome, and easier to navigate. That page is jam-packed with all the stuff the site has to offer. Also, in the news of new pages, I also have a new contact us page. Now, it's way easier to contact us (instead of the old way of regular email) if you're into that kinda thing. Also, I shall soon be making a seperate form for webmasters who wish to affiliate and partner, so keep an eye out for that.

The Rendezvous. If you are here, reading this blog, you are probably a regular visitor, and you may be wondering when this will release. Well, after this blog post, I shall continue to put the finishing touches on this new adventure. I want this to be perfect and successful, so eh, that's why it's taking so long. But don't worry, hopefully you will love it.
