Coco’s with Jeff
I’m finally starting my own personal blog, and you’re probably wondering why it’s taken so long for me, an internet star (not really), to make one. Okay, you probably didn’t wonder that, but I’ll tell you anyway! I’m one of those people that are just… I don’t know how to explain it, but the closest thing I can think of is “perfectionist.” I want to have a reason for things and not just blindly create content, you know? Let’s take this blog for example, I wanted to have a reason for the first post I ever made and not just do it because I was bored. This probably isn’t making sense, but to me it is, and you probably don’t really care how I write my posts… OR DO YOU? Err, no, you probably don’t, haha.
So, anyway, here’s my reason to make my first ever worthy blog post: CONAN O’BRIEN AKA THE FUNNIEST MAN IN THE UNIVERSE READ ONE OF MY TWEETS AND DEEMED IT HILARIOUS! Today, Aaron Bleyaert (webmaster of Team Coco, goes by Bley) sat down with Conan O’Brien and Mike Sweeney (Head Writer for Conan) and chose the winner of a “tweet” contest. The contest consisted of coming up with a funny tweet (a 140-character status for twitter) for Conan to tweet at his followers. The contest over at Team Coco received over 700 entires and Bley narrowed it down to about 30-40 tweets and then sat down with the big man himself and read the best of the best.
They choose the top 5 finalists and the #1 Winner’s tweet will be tweeted by Conan’s twitter with over a million followers, and while I did not win, I did make it to #4 of the Honorable Mentions list! I KNOW, I CAN’T BELIEVE IT EITHER! I AM STILL HONESTLY SO SHOCKED. Out of 700+ entries, I was the fourth runner up which means that Conan read my name, read my tweet, and at least had a chuckle out of it. :D

Everyone (and by everyone I mean my 3 amazing followers that have yet to see any content from me: Jake & Amir, Mackenzie, and Sydnie)… I can rest in peace now. :) My idol and reason I live, Conan O’Brien, deemed I, JEFFREY VEGA, hilarious!!
Me… hilarious. Who would’ve known?! Ahh, you have no idea how happy this makes me, and how much my self-esteem has been raised. Seriously, can you say, “THE GREATEST COMPLEMENT OF ALL TIME!”? Oh yes, let me actually post what my entry tweet was:
I keep receiving texts on my iPhone that say “20% remaining” from someone named “Low Battery”… WHO ARE YOU!?
What a great way to end my first blog post, huh? End with something I wrote that Conan O’Brien thought was hilarious!
