Irish Independent: But if you write all the music, surely you can do Gorillaz without Jamie?
“Absolutely not,” he answers. “I continue making music without Jame obviously, but under the Gorillaz heading and using those characters? No way. That’s something we did together and so I wouldn’t dream of doing it otherwise.”

“Those Pictures”? *sigh* I love you so much Damon, but “those pictures” are what made the beautifully ambitious musical project even possible.

In honor of Record Store Day, I purchased my first ever vinyl at the historic Wuxtry in Athens aka WHERE DANGER MOUSE WORKED AT! It was easily the best $20 I’ve ever spent, because Gorillaz. I just wish I had a record player… I OBVIOUSLY BOUGHT IT FOR THE ARTWORK. LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS!
