From Gorillaz-Unofficial: Damon asked about Gorillaz again, here’s the extract:-
“I think we’ve probably OD’ed on one another. Look it’s the easiest thing to get going again. I do the music - he does the cartoons. We don’t even need to talk to one another to do it. We don’t even need to be on the same continent.”
Irish Independent: But if you write all the music, surely you can do Gorillaz without Jamie?
“Absolutely not,” he answers. “I continue making music without Jame obviously, but under the Gorillaz heading and using those characters? No way. That’s something we did together and so I wouldn’t dream of doing it otherwise.”

“Those Pictures”? *sigh* I love you so much Damon, but “those pictures” are what made the beautifully ambitious musical project even possible.

WOAH! This is quite an obscure Gorillaz song. Looks like Google has a brilliant taste in music.

I didn’t think it was possible to love Gorillaz any more than I already do, but then I finally watch Bananaz, a documentary about their early years [Gorillaz (2001) & Demon Days (2005)], and literally just die in awe of what they do. I have such an obsession and so much respect for these two guys, it’s ridiculous and probably unhealthy.
Damon Albarn & Jamie Hewlett = The greatest collaboration of all time.

Gorillaz - Aspen Forest
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]
50 plays

This is what I listen to when I write. “Aspen Forest,” written by Damon Albarn 2D on tour in a hotel room, created on an iPad for The Fall. If you press play you will soon find out that this too will be your background music for writing! I only hate myself for posting this because there are no beautiful vocals by 2D, but when you’re writing something, the music should be instrumental. Now if you’ll excuse me, I must escape to the peaceful Aspen Forest to write things that will make you laugh.

Chills.

Damon Albarn & Jamie Hewlett (Gorillaz) talk about their free album “THE FALL” that was made on an iPad in hotel rooms during the North American leg of the “Escape to Plastic Beach” tour.
I told myself not to reblog as much for my new blog “comedy” theme, but this is just too hilarious. :{D
