Day 9 (Late) (Gorillaz Challenge) - A song you think doesn’t get enough credit.
How can you tell if a song doesn’t get enough credit?! … if it’s not a single? I dunno really. But I do have an idea of how to answer this. We Are Happy Landfill. Yeah, exactly, you probably have never heard of it. The video above is a montage of really cool Gorillaz imagery with that song in the background, so enjoy! This ended up being on the D-Sides album (the Demon Days EP), but before that you could only download this song if you purchased the CD+DVD Demon Days album to access a secret area on the old Gorillaz Kong Studios site. But anyway, it’s a pretty good song… Damon’s falsetto scream at the beginning of the song (:40 seconds or so in) will always win in my book!
Fun Fact: We Are Happy Landfill was the original album name of Demon Days.
